Low clouds blanket San Antonio this morning, and the air already feels thick and mild. Temperatures sit near 69 degrees at Kelly Field, with southeast winds keeping humidity high. Roads are dry for now, but changes arrive quickly as March heat builds.

According to the National Weather Service in Austin/San Antonio, skies will gradually clear with highs soaring to 88 degrees this afternoon. South southeast winds increase to 15 mph, with gusts near 20 mph. That warmth pushes the region well above average for early March.

A slight chance of drizzle develops after 3 a.m., then rain chances ramp up Wednesday. Showers become likely by afternoon, with thunderstorms possible as highs reach 86 degrees. Rain chances peak near 60 percent during the day and continue into Wednesday night.

Thursday stays warm at 87 degrees with a 30 percent chance of showers and storms, mainly before midday. Friday holds near 85 degrees with scattered showers possible. While widespread severe weather is not guaranteed, repeated rounds of rain could create brief ponding on Loop 410 and I-35 during heavier downpours.

Plan outdoor activities early today before storms increase midweek. Secure loose items as gusty winds develop. Drivers should allow extra space during heavier rain bursts.

Clocks spring ahead at 2 a.m. Sunday, March 8. Longer evenings and a warm pattern continue into early next week. The 6–10 day outlook favors above-normal temperatures across South-Central Texas.

Five Day Outlook for San Antonio, Texas:
Wednesday: Showers likely, high 86.
Thursday: Chance of storms, high 87.
Friday: Chance of showers, high 85.
Saturday: Showers and storms possible, high 84.
Sunday: Showers likely, high 80.
