Nashville, Tenn. – Showers and isolated storms are set to linger over middle Tennessee through Thursday, with the highest chances south of I-40 and temperatures climbing into the upper 70s.

According to the National Weather Service in Nashville, slightly above-normal temperatures and scattered rain chances will persist each day through April 24. While storms are expected—especially in the afternoons and evenings—severe weather risk remains low across the region.

On Tuesday, isolated thunderstorms will develop primarily south of I-40, with highs ranging from 74 to 78 degrees. Wednesday will bring a better chance of showers and late-day storms, especially in areas like Columbia, Murfreesboro, and Cookeville, with highs nearing 83. Thunderstorm activity continues into Thursday, with overnight lows staying mild in the 50s.

Drivers should watch for slick roads during evening commutes, and residents are encouraged to secure outdoor items ahead of gusty winds. While this is not a severe outbreak, lightning and localized downpours could still impact travel and outdoor plans.

Daily rain chances are expected to continue into the weekend, with updates from the NWS likely as patterns evolve.
