Huntsville, AL – North Alabama will see a mix of rain, snow, and Arctic cold this week, with wind chills plunging below zero.

According to the National Weather Service, Monday will be sunny with a high near 46°F, but frigid wind chills will start the day. By Tuesday night, an 80% chance of rain and snow will arrive, bringing icy conditions overnight.

Wednesday remains cold, with a high of 41°F and lingering snow showers. The real deep freeze settles in Thursday and Friday, with highs struggling to reach the mid-30s and lows in the teens. Wind gusts may worsen the chill.

Residents should prepare for hazardous travel, frozen pipes, and potential power outages. Emergency officials advise limiting time outdoors and ensuring homes are winter-ready.
