Columbus, OH – Police have arrested a suspect linked to a shooting that led to a Public Safety Notice at Ohio State University on Monday, September 16. The suspect, Richard James Patridge, faces charges of felonious assault against a known individual. Neither the suspect nor the victim are affiliated with Ohio State, according to authorities.

Ohio State University Police Division (OSUPD) identified Patridge as a person of interest. The Columbus Division of Police (CPD) assisted in apprehending the suspect. Patridge was connected to multiple prior incidents under investigation. OSUPD thanked CPD for their help in the arrest. The investigation remains active.
