Wilmington, OH – Residents in the Ohio Valley can expect a change in weather starting Sunday as showers and thunderstorms are forecasted to hit the region. The National Weather Service (NWS) in Wilmington, OH, reports that while the area remains dry today, wet weather will arrive by Sunday, affecting portions of eastern Indiana, southwest Ohio, and northern Kentucky.

According to the NWS, the rain will likely start late Sunday afternoon, bringing potentially heavy showers and thunderstorms. This weather pattern is expected to persist throughout the week. On Sunday, high temperatures will reach the mid to upper 80s in most areas, with some places seeing highs in the low 90s.

Monday’s forecast shows a 60% chance of rain, with temperatures ranging from the upper 60s in the morning to the low 80s in the afternoon. The showers and thunderstorms are expected to continue, making it a wet start to the week. Tuesday will see cloudy skies with temperatures in the mid-80s.

The midweek weather will bring slightly higher temperatures, with highs nearing 87 degrees on Wednesday and 88 degrees on Thursday. While these days are forecasted to be mostly dry, there remains a chance of scattered showers. Friday will see a 50% chance of rain, with temperatures peaking around 85 degrees.
