In Billings, the average temperature reached 71.2°F, ranking as the 17th warmest on record. Precipitation came in at only 1.73 inches, a deficit of 2.58 inches from normal levels, making this summer the 9th driest. The hottest day occurred on July 24, with temperatures soaring to 105°F. The area also saw peak winds of 66 mph in early August.
Livingston had similar conditions, with an average temperature of 66.2°F and 3.85 inches of rain. The area experienced peak winds of 76 mph, recorded on August 20.
