Streator, IL – Police are investigating an unusual incident involving a firearm discharged by a suspect on a bicycle late Sunday evening. Authorities responded to the 1000 block of East Broadway after reports of shots being fired around 11:09 p.m. Witnesses described the suspect as a white male who allegedly fired several shots into the air before quickly fleeing the scene on a bicycle.
Upon arrival, officers recovered five .45 caliber shell casings but did not report any injuries. An investigation is ongoing. Police urge anyone with information on the bicycle shooter to contact local authorities as the investigation continues.
