Storms in Missouri: Rain Predicted Through Friday, No Additional Flooding

St. Louis, MO – Scattered storms are expected to impact Missouri from this afternoon through Friday, with highs reaching into the 80s. Despite the precipitation, there is no immediate concern for additional flooding.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in St. Louis, while most areas will experience some rain, it is not anticipated to exacerbate flooding conditions. The weather service emphasizes that temperatures will remain in the 80s through the end of the workweek.

A Flood Warning remains in effect for parts of Missouri, continuing until 7:00 a.m. CDT on Saturday, July 13. The NWS advises residents to remain cautious, especially in flood-prone areas. Clear conditions are forecasted for today, with wind gusts up to 15 mph. Morning temperatures will start at 66°F and gradually increase to 87°F by the afternoon.

On Thursday, there is a 35% chance of rain with temperatures ranging from 68°F to 87°F. Friday will see similar conditions, with partly cloudy skies and highs of 88°F. The weekend will bring a shift to warmer weather, with Saturday reaching a high of 92°F under partly cloudy skies. Sunday and Monday are expected to be sunny and hot, with highs of 95°F and 96°F, respectively.
