Today, a storm or two may become strong in northeast Missouri and west-central Illinois. Other than that, no strong to severe weather is expected. Late afternoon into early evening will see isolated to scattered storms, with a 20-40% chance of storms today, especially in northeast Missouri and west-central Illinois.
Patchy dense fog is also expected this morning, particularly across parts of central, east-central, and southeast Missouri as well as southwest Illinois. Visibility can rapidly drop to less than 1/2 mile, necessitating caution for drivers. The National Weather Service advises being prepared for rapidly changing road conditions.
Looking ahead, Thursday’s forecast predicts isolated storms north of I-70 in the morning and south of I-70 in the afternoon, with a 20-30% chance. Friday will see a 10-20% chance of isolated storms in southeast Missouri during the afternoon.

Today’s high will be around 89°F, with temperatures slightly cooler on Thursday and Friday, peaking at 87°F and 86°F respectively.
