Oregon – A spring storm system is set to bring rain and mountain snow to Medford and surrounding areas, impacting travel throughout the week.

According to the National Weather Service, conditions will remain mostly dry on Monday, with partly sunny skies and a high near 59°F. However, a shift begins Tuesday night as rain moves into the region, with an 80% chance of precipitation. Snow levels will start around 5,100 feet, lowering to 4,000 feet, bringing possible accumulations to higher elevations.

By Wednesday, temperatures will drop, with a high near 47°F, and snow levels falling to 3,000 feet. Light snowfall could impact travelers on Interstate 5 through the Siskiyou Summit. Rain will continue into Wednesday night, with snow levels dropping to 2,000 feet.

The unsettled weather persists into Thursday and Friday, with rain and snow likely. Snow levels could drop as low as 1,500 feet, potentially affecting rural roads and mountain passes. Drivers should use caution and check road conditions before traveling.

Looking ahead, temperatures will remain cooler, with highs in the mid-40s to upper 40s through Saturday. Residents should prepare for wet conditions and possible winter driving hazards in higher elevations. Keep an eye on local forecasts for updates.
