Authorities say the investigation began on June 12, 2025, after police received a report that Conner B. Madsen had allegedly raped and molested a child. After reviewing evidence gathered by state police, the Spencer County Prosecutor’s Office filed formal criminal charges, leading to the issuance of an arrest warrant.

According to police, Madsen was taken into custody Friday evening, October 31, around 5:45 p.m., following a traffic stop on State Road 62 in Saint Meinrad. Officials said the arrest was made without incident.
