Idyllwild, CA – A magnitude 3.5 earthquake struck 7 kilometers south of Idyllwild early Wednesday morning, shaking the Southern California region. The quake, recorded at a depth of 16.0 kilometers, occurred at 12:43 AM UTC, prompting residents to feel tremors across the area.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), the epicenter was located at 33.675°N latitude and 116.723°W longitude, close to the San Jacinto Mountains. Though relatively moderate, the quake was felt in nearby communities, including parts of Riverside and San Diego counties.
