Detroit, MI – The remnants of Tropical System Beryl will continue to bring heavy rainfall across Southeast Michigan through the rest of the day before tapering off early Thursday morning. Up to an inch of additional rainfall is expected, with locally higher amounts possible. A Flood Watch remains in effect for parts of Southeast Michigan.
According to the National Weather Service, the heaviest rainfall will occur in areas including Flint, Ann Arbor, and Detroit, with flood-prone regions facing the highest risk. The forecast for tonight predicts lows between 60 and 64 degrees with moderate to heavy rainfall and lighter showers following.
Thursday’s weather will see lingering rain chances in the morning, with temperatures reaching between 76 and 80 degrees. The forecast improves on Friday, with partly cloudy skies and highs around 82 to 84 degrees. However, a 35% chance of showers persists into the afternoon.
The weekend promises a mix of sun and rain. Saturday will be mostly sunny with highs nearing 87 degrees, while Sunday brings a 50% chance of thunderstorms and temperatures around 88 degrees. Early next week, residents can expect a slight drop in temperatures with highs ranging from 70 to 89 degrees and intermittent showers.
