Detroit, MI — Southeast Michigan will start the workweek with more rain on Monday as the remnants of Hurricane Helene continue to affect the region. Showers are forecast to persist throughout the day, impacting morning and afternoon commutes along major routes like I-75 and I-94.

According to the National Weather Service, Monday’s rain could cause slick conditions on the roads, with a 40% chance of showers lingering into the evening. Temperatures will remain mild, in the mid-70s, but wet weather may slow down travel in the Detroit area. Drivers should prepare for delays and take extra precautions during periods of heavier rain.

Looking ahead, showers are expected to taper off by Tuesday, with partly cloudy skies and a high of 75°F forecast. Residents should monitor updates for any changes in the weather patterns and plan accordingly.
