Corpus Christi, TX – Coastal communities in Corpus Christi will experience extreme heat and hazardous beach conditions through the weekend as temperatures reach the triple digits, and a Coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect. Highs are expected to reach 102 degrees today, while Gulf-facing beaches will see elevated high tides and possible flooding.

According to the National Weather Service, a Coastal Flood Advisory is in place until Saturday evening, with tides rising two feet above normal. Beachgoers are urged to be cautious of rip currents, which are classified as moderate today and expected to drop to low levels by Saturday.

With dangerous heat and beach conditions, residents and visitors should take extra precautions, including wearing sunscreen, staying hydrated, and avoiding swimming near piers or jetties. High temperatures will persist into early next week, with lows remaining in the 70s overnight.
