Denver, CO – Colorado may have witnessed its first significant snowfall of the season at Berthoud Pass. An automated weather station recently reported a temperature of 32°F alongside heavy snow conditions in the area.
According to the US National Weather Service in Denver/Boulder, webcams in the Berthoud and Loveland Passes suggest wintry scenes, although the station noted that cameras cannot confirm snow with full certainty. Weather data showed 0.25-mile visibility and gusts reaching 36 MPH.
With cloud cover dropping to 100 feet above ground level, the station’s output points to substantial snow presence. Early snowfall in September, particularly in these regions, isn’t entirely unusual, but this marks the season’s potential first accumulation.
