Joliet, IL – Joliet police are actively investigating a shooting reported Monday evening near the 300 block of Desplaines Street.
According to a statement from the Joliet Police Department, officers and detectives responded around 5:20 p.m. and have since blocked off portions of the area. Investigators are on scene gathering evidence, though no additional details have been released.
Officials are urging residents to avoid the vicinity while the investigation is underway. There is no word yet on any injuries or suspects.
