Goodland, KS – The National Weather Service warns that isolated severe thunderstorms may develop this weekend. These storms could affect the Colorado Front Range and Palmer Divide on Saturday and Sunday, particularly between 5-9 p.m. MDT. The storms might bring localized wind gusts up to 65 mph, posing a primary hazard in the region.

According to the forecast, today’s high will reach 96°F under mostly clear skies. A similar trend will continue on Sunday, with temperatures again hitting 96°F. Despite the heat, the risk of isolated severe storms remains, especially in the late afternoon and evening hours.

Looking ahead, Monday will see a slight drop in temperatures, with a high of 92°F. The weather will be partly cloudy, offering a brief respite from the extreme heat. Tuesday brings cooler temperatures, with highs expected around 84°F. The weather will remain partly cloudy, providing some relief from the heat wave.

By midweek, temperatures will rise again, reaching the upper 80s on Wednesday. The forecast indicates a return to mostly sunny conditions, with Thursday cooling off to a high of 79°F under partly cloudy skies.

Residents should stay vigilant for any weather updates and be prepared for potential severe storms through Monday.
