According to the National Weather Service, daytime highs will remain between 74 and 84 degrees through Friday. Light winds from the south and southeast will keep conditions calm and pleasant. Nighttime temperatures will dip into the 50s, especially in rural locations, with patchy fog possible after midnight.
The forecast predicts sunny skies and warm afternoons through Friday, with slightly more humidity by the end of the week. NYC Metro could see temperatures nearing 85 degrees.
Rural areas like the Long Island Pine Barrens will cool more significantly overnight, with temperatures dropping into the low 50s. Despite the cooling, no rain is in the forecast for the next several days.
