MONEE, IL – A significant traffic disruption occurred on Friday morning when a semi tractor-trailer overturned in the median of I-57 near Monee. The incident took place just before 8:30 am, causing substantial delays for motorists in the area.
According to officials from the Monee Fire Protection District, the accident happened on the northbound side of the interstate, close to the rest area. The semi, carrying a substantial load, flipped in the median, obstructing at least one lane of traffic.
