ROCKFORD, IL – A somber atmosphere envelops Rockford following a horrifying daylight attack that left a 15-year-old girl and three others dead.
Rockford Police Department reports the incidents occurred Wednesday afternoon across several locations, including Holmes Street and neighboring areas. A 22-year-old male suspect was swiftly apprehended after the attacks at 1:35 p.m. In addition to the young girl, the lives of two adults and another young male were tragically cut short.
Authorities are conducting a vigorous multi-agency investigation and appeal to the public for any helpful information.
