Rockford, IL – A fire in the 1100 block of Fieldcrest Drive displaced three adults and three children on Thursday after a garage blaze spread to nearby homes. Rockford Fire Department crews responded at 4:07 p.m., finding a fully involved detached garage fire that had extended to the adjacent residence. The severity of the situation prompted a second alarm, as the flames threatened two other neighboring structures.
According to the Rockford Fire Department, the fast-spreading fire caused significant damage, leading to the displacement of the six individuals. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. Firefighters worked diligently to contain the blaze, preventing further spread to other homes in the area. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
