Paducah, KY – The Quad State region is in for a sweltering week as temperatures are set to soar into the upper 90s. The heat index could make it feel even hotter, with values between 100 and 106 degrees expected Tuesday through Thursday.

Tuesday marks the beginning of the peak heat, with daytime highs reaching between 95 to 100 degrees. The heat index will push these temperatures even higher, creating dangerously hot conditions. Wednesday continues this trend, with similar temperatures and a heat index climbing to 104 degrees.

Residents should stay hydrated and limit outdoor activities during peak heat hours. Nighttime lows will provide little relief, hovering between 69 to 75 degrees.

By Thursday, the region will still experience high temperatures, though slightly moderated by increasing humidity. The arrival of a cold front on Friday will bring much-needed relief, with scattered thunderstorms and highs dropping to the low 90s.

The weekend looks to be more bearable, with temperatures returning to the upper 80s to low 90s, offering a slight reprieve from the extreme heat.
