Quad Cities, IA/IL – High fire danger is expected across the Quad Cities on Monday, as temperatures approach 80 degrees and strong south winds increase risk. Conditions will remain dry for much of the day, with only a 20-50% chance of rain late Monday night into Tuesday morning.

According to the National Weather Service, most areas will stay dry despite the chance of rain. Winds combined with dry conditions could elevate fire risks significantly.

Temperatures will cool down midweek, with highs in the 60s on Wednesday and Thursday, before another warm-up into next weekend. Residents are advised to exercise caution and avoid outdoor burning due to the heightened fire risk Monday.
