Putnam County, IN, Hosts Airport Appreciation Days with Free Airplane Rides

Greencastle, IN – Putnam County Regional Airport will host its annual Airport Appreciation Days on September 7-8. The event will feature free airplane rides for children ages 8-17 as part of the Young Eagles Rally. Attendees can enjoy a variety of activities, food vendors, and bi-plane rides offered by Cliff Robinson.

According to event organizers, Saturday’s festivities will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., while Sunday’s hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Families are encouraged to participate in the fun, including a 5K hosted by Beyond Homeless Inc. Heroes for the Homeless will also be present for the cause.

In addition to the flight activities, kids can take advantage of bounce houses and other entertainment options. Event-goers are encouraged to visit local vendors for food, crafts, and more.

The weather forecast looks favorable, ensuring a fun-filled weekend for all attendees. The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office announced the event on social media, highlighting the exciting activities and inviting the community to come out and enjoy the weekend.
