Kankakee, IL – A Plano man has died following a shooting in Kankakee early Wednesday morning. Thomas P. Isitt III, 44, was identified as the victim.
According to the Kankakee County Coroner’s Office, Isitt was transported to the emergency department at Ascension St. Mary’s Hospital, where medical staff pronounced him dead at 3:40 a.m. The shooting occurred in the 1100 block of East Court Street. The exact details of the incident remain under investigation.
Isitt’s body has been scheduled for an autopsy, set for later today. The Kankakee County Coroner’s Office and Kankakee Police Department continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
