Indianapolis, IN – Indianapolis law enforcement seized a significant cache of illegal guns and drugs in a coordinated operation today. Led by the Indiana Crime Guns Task Force (ICGTF), IMPD, and the ATF, the crackdown focused on disrupting a criminal group responsible for drug trafficking and violence in the city.
The raid resulted in the confiscation of 22 illegal firearms, along with 7 pounds of marijuana, 50 grams of fentanyl, and 10 grams of cocaine. Authorities also arrested six individuals tied to the operation.
IMPD Chief Chris Bailey emphasized the department’s commitment to removing illegal firearms and drugs from Indianapolis streets. “This sends a clear message—those involved in crime will face consequences,” Bailey stated. The firearms and drugs seized are linked to violent incidents in the city, including homicides.
Assistant Special Agent John Nokes from the ATF highlighted the importance of collaboration in dismantling dangerous criminal networks. He reiterated that today’s effort is just one part of a broader strategy to make Indianapolis safer.
