Tulsa, OK – Temperatures are expected to drop across eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas tonight, signaling a brief cold front.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS) Tulsa, cooler weather will sweep through the region, with lows in the upper 40s to lower 50s. However, a warming trend will start by Wednesday, pushing temperatures back into the mid-80s by the weekend.

The NWS forecasts that the cooldown will not last long, as southerly winds will bring warmer conditions through Saturday. Tulsa could see highs nearing 90°F, with Fort Smith and Fayetteville seeing similar trends. By Sunday, another cold front is expected to move through the area, providing some relief from the heat.

Residents should prepare for the chilly weather tonight but can expect warmer conditions heading into the weekend. The cold front on Sunday could bring cooler temperatures for early next week.
