Burlington, VT – A weakening cold front will bring light rain showers to Vermont and northern New York on Wednesday. The most consistent showers will arrive at daybreak in the St. Lawrence Valley, and continue through the day.
According to the National Weather Service, western portions of northern New York could see up to a quarter of an inch of rain. In contrast, Vermont will only experience light sprinkles. Rain showers will move eastward by Wednesday afternoon, with the system weakening as it spreads.
Highs will range from the upper 50s to mid-60s. The heaviest rain is expected west of the Adirondacks, while areas east, including Vermont, will only receive a few hundredths of an inch.
The showers are expected to taper off in the evening. Residents are advised to monitor the forecast and prepare for light rainfall throughout the day.
