Columbus, Ohio – Warm, dry air is moving across Ohio, bringing sunny skies and rising temperatures through Wednesday, with highs expected to reach the upper 70s and low 80s across much of the state.
According to the National Weather Service in Wilmington, calm conditions will persist until at least Wednesday night. Temperatures will steadily climb from the mid-70s Tuesday to around 80 degrees in cities like Dayton, Chillicothe, and Cincinnati by Wednesday afternoon. Northern counties including Lima and Findlay should also see highs near 78°F.
While the current stretch offers a break from recent storm activity, residents are advised to take advantage of the dry weather to complete any outdoor tasks or travel plans. Winds will remain light and humidity moderate, offering ideal spring conditions. However, the NWS warns that a pattern shift is on the horizon, with rain showers and scattered thunderstorms likely to return Thursday and into Friday.
This warming trend marks one of the first sustained periods of spring-like weather for the region, but the reprieve may be brief. Additional updates and advisories are expected as the late-week system develops.
