Cleveland, Ohio – Wind chills will linger in the 40s across much of northern and eastern Ohio today as a blustery cold front moves through the state, bringing overcast skies and gusty winds up to 25 mph.

According to the National Weather Service in Cleveland, winds from the north and northwest will increase throughout Saturday, making it feel colder than the actual air temperatures, which are expected to top out in the low to mid-50s for most of the region.

Cleveland and Erie may not break 50°F, while Akron and Canton will hover in the low to mid-50s. In Ashtabula, afternoon temperatures may remain in the upper 40s under persistent cloud cover. However, Findlay and parts of northwest Ohio could briefly reach the upper 50s to near 60°F as skies begin to clear later in the day.

Drivers and residents should prepare for a chilly, breezy day and consider limiting time outdoors. Secure loose outdoor items and wear layers if heading out.

Winds will taper off slightly overnight, but conditions stay cool through Sunday. Another update is expected later today if advisories are issued.
