Wilmington, OH – Light snow showers are expected to move through the region tonight, possibly creating slick conditions for Thursday morning commuters. While accumulations will be limited to an inch, untreated roads, bridges, and overpasses may become hazardous.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Wilmington, scattered snow showers will develop overnight, with wind chills dropping as low as zero. Motorists should allow extra travel time and use caution, especially on rural and less-traveled roads.

Thursday will remain mostly cloudy, with lingering snow showers in the morning and a high near 21°F. Winds will shift northwest at 10 to 14 mph, keeping conditions brisk. The cold air mass begins to move out Friday, bringing partly sunny skies and a high of 29°F.

A warming trend will follow into the weekend, with temperatures rising to 32°F on Saturday and near 37°F on Sunday. This shift signals an early glimpse of spring-like weather, though another cold front may return next week.

Residents should stay updated on changing road conditions and check forecasts before heading out.
