Ohio Valley — Dry weather will dominate this weekend across Ohio Valley, providing residents with mild, sunny conditions to enjoy outdoor activities. However, the National Weather Service in Wilmington warns that the pleasant weather will be short-lived, with rain expected to arrive on Halloween, impacting evening trick-or-treat plans.

According to the latest forecast, dry conditions will persist through Sunday, with only isolated chances of showers on Saturday. This period of dry weather will bring comfortable temperatures, with highs around 62°F on Saturday and 60°F on Sunday, making it an ideal time to complete outdoor tasks or enjoy fall festivities before the next weather system arrives.

On Monday, temperatures will rise, reaching up to 69°F under mostly sunny skies, followed by a further warm-up to 77°F on Tuesday. However, Halloween night is anticipated to bring rain, with a 55% to 70% chance of precipitation across Ohio Valley. Areas such as Cincinnati, Dayton, and Columbus could experience scattered rain showers, with estimated rainfall amounts of around a quarter-inch.

For those planning Halloween festivities, the National Weather Service advises residents to monitor updates, as rain could affect visibility and dampen outdoor decorations. Roads may become slick, especially along major routes like Interstate 71 and U.S. Highway 68, so drivers should exercise caution during peak trick-or-treat hours.

Looking ahead, the rain is expected to continue into early Friday, with a gradual return to partly cloudy skies by afternoon. Temperatures will hover around 62°F, providing a cooler, yet dry end to the week. Stay updated on the latest weather advisories to plan accordingly, especially if traveling on Halloween evening.
