Ocean City, MD – Police are investigating a fatal collision involving a bicyclist that occurred on Sunday, August 11, 2024, at approximately 2:06 p.m. The incident took place near 14th Street and St. Louis Ave in Ocean City, claiming the life of 34-year-old Stephannie Holston.
According to the Ocean City Police Department, Holston was riding a class two e-bike in the southbound bicycle lane on St. Louis Ave when a vehicle traveling in the same direction turned west onto 14th Street, striking her. Despite immediate lifesaving efforts by Ocean City EMS, Holston was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Ocean City Traffic Safety Unit is leading the investigation to determine the exact cause of the collision. Early reports indicate that alcohol was not a factor for the vehicle’s driver. Authorities are continuing their investigation and urge witnesses to come forward with any additional information that might assist in the case.
