Oakland County, Mich. — A severe storm swept through Oakland County on Tuesday night, causing panic across multiple lakes. Within just 90 minutes, the Oakland County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue Team (SSRT) responded to six emergency calls, all requiring immediate attention. Despite the challenging conditions, no injuries were reported.
According to Sheriff Michael Bouchard, the night’s storm had the potential to cause significant harm. However, coordinated efforts by the SSRT, with support from the Southeast Michigan Dive Group, Lapeer County Sheriff’s Office, and other agencies, ensured all incidents were resolved safely.
