Oak Brook, IL – A Louisiana man accused of leading police on a high-speed chase through DuPage County in a stolen vehicle has been denied pre-trial release. Judge Joshua Dieden granted the State’s motion to detain Aiden Coburn-Dishler, 20, of Lamont, Louisiana, who faces multiple felony charges following the incident.

According to DuPage County State’s Attorney Robert Berlin, the chase began around 1:22 a.m. on August 9 when Oak Brook police attempted to stop Coburn-Dishler’s Cadillac CTS for allegedly lacking license plates or registration. Instead of stopping, Coburn-Dishler allegedly ran a red light and accelerated onto I-88, reaching speeds of up to 123 mph. The pursuit continued onto I-290, where police deployed spike strips, eventually forcing Coburn-Dishler to stop near Mannheim Road.

Authorities allege that after abandoning the vehicle, Coburn-Dishler led officers on a foot chase before being apprehended. A loaded Glock 17 handgun with a mounted laser and extended magazine was reportedly found in his possession. The Cadillac was later confirmed as stolen from a Bloomington, Indiana, dealership.

Coburn-Dishler faces charges including aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and aggravated fleeing. His arraignment is set for August 12, 2024. Authorities emphasize that he remains presumed innocent until proven guilty.
