Grand Forks, ND — Showers and thunderstorms will spread across eastern North Dakota today, extending into northwest Minnesota overnight. A breezy day with gusty winds from the south is expected. Highs will range from the low 70s near Devils Lake to the mid-80s in southern Red River Valley.

According to the U.S. National Weather Service in Grand Forks, today’s forecast includes mostly sunny skies east of the Red River Valley, while areas west of the valley will see cloudy, breezy conditions with showers and storms. The region can expect highs between 71-84°F today, with temperatures rising throughout the weekend.

The stormy pattern will continue into Saturday morning, bringing potentially hazardous weather. Residents should stay alert for weather warnings and plan accordingly. Saturday’s temperatures will peak at 84°F with storms likely in the morning. Storms will linger into Sunday with temperatures hitting a high of 86°F.

For the coming week, the forecast remains unsettled with additional showers and warm conditions through Monday.
