Northern Indiana Weekend Outlook: Humid with Storms Ahead

Fort Wayne, IN – Northern Indiana residents should prepare for a wet and stormy weekend. Showers and thunderstorms are expected this afternoon and evening across much of the area, with locally heavy rain and gusty winds possible.

According to the US National Weather Service Northern Indiana, scattered thunderstorms are expected mainly in the afternoon, bringing locally heavy rain. The main concerns are strong winds accompanying the storms, with high temperatures ranging from 78 to 82 degrees.

Tonight, showers are predicted to quickly end as skies clear overnight. Temperatures will drop to between 66 and 69 degrees, providing some relief from the humidity.

Looking ahead to the weekend, dry conditions are expected to settle in, but it will remain warm and humid. Highs are anticipated to be between 83 and 86 degrees. Saturday and Sunday are forecasted to be sunny with highs in the upper 80s, providing a break from the rain but continuing the warm, humid trend.

Early next week, temperatures will continue to rise, with highs reaching 88 degrees by Monday. While Tuesday might bring more rain with a 45% chance of showers, the rest of the week looks mostly clear and pleasant with temperatures ranging from the high 70s to low 80s.
