Fort Wayne, IN – A Halloween party on the 4900 block of Manistee Drive ended in violence Saturday night, leaving 10 people shot and one dead. Authorities arrived at 10:25 p.m. to find chaos, with teenagers scattering on foot and in cars.

According to Fort Wayne Police, 18-year-old Willie Ivy III was found fatally wounded in the yard of 4911 Manistee Drive. Multiple other victims, aged 14 to 20, were taken to local hospitals, some by private vehicles.

The party, reportedly advertised on social media, encouraged guests to bring alcohol and marijuana. Although attendees were searched for weapons, the situation escalated when Ivy and his group allegedly forced their way into the house. Ivy reportedly opened fire, striking nine victims before being fatally shot by another partygoer.

The homeowner did not notify the police, locking themselves in a room when the party got out of control. The shooter who killed Ivy will not face charges, as his actions were deemed self-defense under Indiana law. The investigation is ongoing.
