Sacramento, CA – Heavy rainfall continues to raise flood risks in Sacramento and surrounding areas, with a Flood Watch in effect through Friday evening. Residents are urged to remain cautious as excessive runoff could lead to rising creeks, river flooding, and dangerous road conditions.
According to the National Weather Service, scattered showers will persist overnight Friday, with areas of fog developing early Saturday. Saturday’s high will reach 57°F under partly sunny skies, offering some relief. However, another slight chance of showers returns Sunday morning before clearing in the afternoon.
By Monday and Tuesday, Sacramento will see a shift to drier, warmer conditions, with highs climbing to the low 60s. Travelers should remain alert for possible road closures and debris flow, especially in low-lying areas and near burn scars.
Drivers should use caution, avoid flooded roadways, and check local updates for closures. Stay tuned for further forecasts as conditions evolve.
