Wilmington, N.C. – Beachgoers in southeastern North Carolina can expect sun-soaked skies and warm temperatures Monday, with a touch of afternoon cloud cover drifting in along the coast. Highs will range from 79 to 83 degrees on the beaches and push into the mid-80s farther inland.

According to the National Weather Service in Wilmington, a weak sea breeze will develop in the afternoon, slightly increasing cloud coverage along the immediate coast. Temperatures remain near seasonal averages, with no rain expected to disrupt outdoor plans.

Along the coast, cities like Wrightsville Beach and Oak Island will see pleasant sun early, with light cumulus clouds forming after 2 p.m. Inland areas including Lumberton and Elizabethtown should remain mostly sunny and dry, reaching highs up to 86°F.

Residents and visitors are encouraged to stay hydrated and wear sun protection, especially during peak UV hours between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Coastal winds may pick up slightly by early evening but remain below 15 mph.

Skies will stay mostly clear through tonight, with no advisories currently in effect. The next update is expected early Tuesday morning as summer heat continues to build.
