Newton, NJ – A freeze warning has been issued for Sussex and Warren counties in New Jersey, starting at 2 a.m. and ending at 9 a.m. Thursday. Temperatures could drop as low as 29°F, according to the National Weather Service.
The freeze may damage crops and vulnerable vegetation, while unprotected plumbing could also suffer. Frost is expected to form in many parts of the region as temperatures plummet overnight.
Residents are encouraged to prepare by covering plants and ensuring outdoor plumbing is secure ahead of the cold front.
