Sullivan, NH — A Chichester teenager sustained serious injuries in a single-vehicle crash early Monday morning on Route 9 in Sullivan.
State Troopers responded to the accident near Valley Road around 4:27 a.m. They discovered that 19-year-old Ayslin Claudio lost control of a 2023 Toyota Tacoma while heading westbound. Claudio’s vehicle failed to navigate a curve, left the road, struck a large boulder, and rolled several times.
Emergency responders from Sullivan Fire & Rescue and Keene Fire Department arrived quickly. They extracted Claudio from the wrecked vehicle. A medical helicopter then transported Claudio to Concord Hospital as a precaution, due to the severity and unknown nature of the injuries.
Authorities closed Route 9 for several hours to conduct an investigation. Speeding and reckless driving are suspected as primary causes of the crash, according to state police.
