Manchester, NH – A Manchester man suffered serious injuries after a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 93 Monday night and was later charged with driving while intoxicated following the preliminary investigation, according to New Hampshire State Police.
According to New Hampshire State Police, troopers assigned to Troop B responded at approximately 10:50 p.m. on Monday, July 13, to a reported crash at the Interstate 93 northbound to Interstate 293 northbound split in Manchester.
Investigators said witnesses reported seeing a gray 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee swerve before leaving the roadway at the interchange. The SUV traveled into the woods and came to rest approximately 200 feet off the road, sustaining heavy damage.
Authorities identified the driver as Casey Fleming, 25, of Manchester.
Fleming suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Following the preliminary investigation, state police charged him with misdemeanor driving while intoxicated – second offense.
One lane of the highway remained closed for approximately 45 minutes while crews removed the damaged vehicle from the scene.
Troopers were assisted by members of the Manchester Fire Department during the response.
