Las Vegas, Nevada – Southern Nevada, northwest Arizona, and eastern California will see a steady cooldown through Friday as winds strengthen ahead of an approaching low-pressure system.
According to the National Weather Service Las Vegas, daily highs will drop from the mid-80s into the low 70s across the region by Friday, with gusty winds expected to develop beginning Wednesday afternoon. The system will bring below-average temperatures through the weekend.
In Las Vegas, high temperatures will fall from 85°F Wednesday to just 73°F by Saturday. Winds may reach 25 to 30 mph, especially by Thursday afternoon. Kingman, Arizona, will see similar cooling, from 77°F to 69°F, while Bishop, California, dips from 79°F to 68°F with persistent breezes.
Drivers should prepare for crosswinds on highways such as I-15, I-40, and US-95. Residents are urged to secure loose outdoor items and remain cautious in areas prone to blowing dust or fire weather conditions. Cooling temperatures may also prompt increased heating use overnight.
