Nashville, TN – Middle Tennessee is currently experiencing a significant heat wave, with temperatures reaching record highs and a chance of showers anticipated over the weekend.

According to the National Weather Service in Nashville, the heat wave, which started on Monday, has brought temperatures ranging from the mid-80s to high 90s. Today, temperatures are expected to be between 84-93°F with a 10-30% chance of showers. The heat will persist throughout the week, with Wednesday’s temperatures ranging from 83-91°F under mostly sunny skies.

The heat intensifies further on Thursday and Friday, with highs between 86-98°F and 88-98°F, respectively. Saturday is forecasted to be the hottest day of the week, with temperatures potentially reaching a scorching 99°F. While the majority of the week will remain dry, a slight reprieve may come on Sunday with a 20-30% chance of showers in the afternoon and highs between 90-98°F.

The week will conclude with Monday’s temperatures ranging from 87-95°F and a 30-40% chance of showers. Residents are advised to stay hydrated, limit outdoor activities during peak heat hours, and be prepared for possible rain over the weekend.
