Naperville, IL: Three Arrested After Fleeing Alleged Stolen Vehicle

Naperville, IL – Police arrested three individuals Saturday evening after a stolen vehicle pursuit ended in Naperville. Officers responded to the 1800 block of South Washington Street around 7:11 p.m. to locate a stolen black GMC Acadia.

Authorities found the vehicle parked at an apartment complex. Police used squad cars to block the SUV, prompting three suspects to flee on foot. Two were quickly apprehended after a short chase. The third suspect, allegedly holding a firearm, escaped by scaling fences.

According to Naperville police, a K-9 unit located the third suspect, Ezequiel Lopez-Bey, 22, hiding in a shed. A firearm was later recovered nearby. Lopez-Bey faces felony charges, including aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and aggravated fleeing.

The second adult suspect, Andrew B. De Lance, 19, of Arlington Heights, faces felony and misdemeanor charges. Both were processed and transported to DuPage County Jail. A juvenile suspect was released pending juvenile court proceedings.

The Naperville Police Department thanked assisting agencies for aiding the arrests.
