Bloomington, IL – A Mississippi woman who planned to visit Bloomington has been reported missing, prompting a public plea from local authorities.
Savannah Simmons, 35, of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, was last seen on Tuesday, May 6. She intended to travel to Bloomington to meet an acquaintance but reportedly never arrived.

According to the Bloomington Police Department, Simmons spoke with her acquaintance the following day and stated she had not yet left Mississippi. Since that contact, her whereabouts remain unknown and police have been unable to reach her.
Authorities say Simmons has ties to the D’Iberville and Ocean Springs areas in Mississippi and has faced previous housing instability. She is described as a white female, approximately 5-foot-2, weighing around 115 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes.
The Bloomington Police Department urges anyone with information about her location to contact them at 309-820-8888. Agencies in Mississippi, including the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, Ocean Springs Police Department and D’Iberville Police Department, are also assisting in the investigation.
