Moline, IL – Parking Garage Fire Destroys Multiple Cars

Moline, IL – A fire broke out Wednesday afternoon at 2424 41st St., destroying several vehicles in a parking garage. The Moline Fire Department responded to the scene at 2:02 PM and arrived within five minutes. Firefighters found the detached garage fully engulfed, with multiple cars already in flames.

Crews battled heavy fire and heat conditions as flames spread through the garage. The fire damaged nearby structures and caused smoke and water damage to adjacent apartments. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

According to Moline Fire Department officials, the cause of the fire remains under investigation. Agencies, including the Rock Island Fire Department and the Arsenal Fire Department, assisted on the scene. MidAmerican Energy cut power to ensure safety during the firefighting efforts.

Residents affected by the fire received assistance on-site, and officials reminded the public to check smoke detectors and have emergency plans ready.
