St. Louis, Missouri – Clouds and showers will dampen Missouri’s Memorial Day weekend plans, with rain chances climbing as high as 80% in the St. Louis area by Sunday.

According to the National Weather Service in St. Louis, the weather will start mild with partly cloudy skies Thursday and Friday, but turn noticeably wetter and cooler by Saturday. Highs will range from 60–75°F statewide, with north of I-70 seeing slightly cooler conditions. Overnight lows will fall into the low 50s or upper 40s, particularly in rural counties.

Rain chances increase sharply from Saturday through Monday, with widespread showers likely across central and eastern Missouri, including Columbia, Jefferson City, Rolla, and Poplar Bluff. Saturday’s rain chance is pegged at 40–70%, increasing to 50–80% on Sunday. Monday remains unsettled with a 30–50% chance of rain.

Drivers should expect wet roads and possible ponding, especially during Sunday morning and evening travel. Residents are advised to avoid outdoor plans during peak rain periods and keep umbrellas and waterproof gear on hand.

Temperatures will feel unseasonably cool for late May, and more updates are expected as the weekend progresses. Rain chances continue into early next week.
